After a prolonged rainy period there was flooding on the pavement and cycle track beside the park along Marston Road . 'Flood' notices were set up. Following investigations, it appears that the flooding was not due to overflow of water from the ponds (the overflow is not blocked) but from natural stream water running from the west side of the site and particularly down the north side. This explains the worst flooding, by the JSL bus shelter.
9 February 2021 Photos taken in the park show how water is now held in pools along the stream after heavy rain.
