Dr Jocelyne Hughes and Robert Aquilina led a survey by students on an Oxford University  course in ecological survey techniques (Insect Taxonomy & Field Sampling Skills). The course was a collaboration between the Department for Continuing Education and the University Museum of Natural History.  For a slideshow of the event, click here.​

 30 June 2013  Wildflowers of the Park   Flickr  A walk led by Judy Webb on Sunday, 30 June 2013.  Click on a photo to see it full size - use arrows to move through photos.  While looking at plants beside the stream, one of the group found a Water Scorpion, an uncommon bug that resembles a land scorpion in some ways.

Tuesday, 31 July 2012   Members of the New Marston 'Tuesday Coffee Group' were taken on a guided tour of the Park by Judy Webb, before everyone returned to the Scout Hut for coffee and cakes -  for photos click here.   Google photos   LINK UPDATED


Pond-dipping, Sunday 27 May 2012   Photobucket  Oxford City Council very kindly lent the group nets, trays, laminated information sheets and transparent pots with magnifying lids for the event - all essential and much appreciated.
 
Wildflower identification   Saturday, 19 June 2011   Unfortunately the rain deterred many people from attending but a few hardy supporters turned up to get tips on wildflower identification from Dr Judy Webb.
